Where Did I Shop In Nice?

by Antoinette Stonham

Wow!! Nice is such a beautiful place to visit. The food, the atmosphere and the life style! As I only had five days in Nice, and so much to do, I only had a quick look around at the shopping spots.

I visited two indoor shopping spots – Nice Etolie  and Galleries La Fayette. You can find  both and despite being high-end, surprisingly they had less expensive brands. They’re comfortable places to visit if you wanted to escape the heat and do some shopping.

Personally, I preferred to walk the streets and laneways of Old Town in the heat. I could pop in and out of all the different retailers, discovering brands with which I wasn’t familiar and I loved spending time in the antique shops.

I came across a few vintage stores whilst strolling in Old town too.

I couldn’t resist popping into the chocolate shop and the nougat store to make a little purchase. If you feeling hungry there is always a café nearby or you can just grab an ice cream while strolling around.

Early morning is the time to visit the Cours Saleya, the Flower Market, which also has a huge range of cheeses, herbs, fruit and vegetables. The smell of freshly made crepes was awesome.

Most of my evenings were spent strolling along the Promenade des Anglais, enjoying the view and the warmth of the evening with many other tourists from around the world.
